A pattern over time
“Air fingerprint” is how we describe a room’s pattern of readings over time. Our AI algorithms are being developed to establish that pattern and look for meaningful changes. The aim is to give property teams more context when deciding which rooms need attention.
Conditions and gases answer different questions
The VTT / Finnish mould model estimates growth on materials using environmental history and material characteristics. It models growth conditions, not gases. VEX is being developed to combine that context with patterns in gases associated with mould metabolism. Read about the Finnish mould model.
A change is a reason to investigate
The goal is to flag relevant changes before visible mould is noticed. A gas-pattern change is not, on its own, proof of mould, a species identification or a verdict that a room is safe. Resident observations and inspection findings remain part of the picture.
What we are validating
Our first pilot is complete. We are preparing the next home pilot and independent mould assessments to evaluate performance in real properties. Ofacto’s reported 96% internal lab result is not an independently validated field-accuracy claim. We conduct internal laboratory testing.
