Privacy policy.
How we handle your information when you visit this site or contact Ofacto Labs.
Updated 23 September 2026Who we are
Ofacto Labs is the team developing VEX. We are responsible for personal information sent to us through enquiries and notification requests. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email admin@ofactolabs.co.uk.
This policy covers the website and initial contact with our team. Any pilot involving property visits, device readings or remediation will need its own information about how participant data is used before testing begins.
Information we use
Website visits
The site serves its fonts, images, videos and scripts directly. It has no analytics trackers, advertising cookies, embedded social feeds or third-party mailing-list embeds. Our hosting service may record your IP address, requested pages, browser information and access times to deliver the site and investigate technical or security problems. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Interactive platform demo
The demo uses fictional properties and readings. Sample notes and workflow changes stay in your browser’s memory and are cleared when the page reloads. They are not sent to Ofacto Labs.
Enquiries and pilot interest
If you email us or book a call, we receive the contact details and information you provide, such as your name, email, organisation, property type and location. We use these to reply and discuss your requirements, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where you ask us to take steps towards an agreement with you, we use the information to take those steps.
Providing information is voluntary, but we need a way to contact you to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or details about other residents in an initial enquiry.
Pre-order notifications
With your consent, the signup form stores your email address, audience selection, consent text and submission time in private storage on our hosting. We use these details for the product and pre-order updates you request. The form uses a necessary session cookie for security and hashed network identifiers to limit abuse. You can withdraw consent by emailing admin@ofactolabs.co.uk at any time. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Keeping your information
Enquiry information is kept for the time needed to handle your request and any resulting discussion, taking account of outstanding issues and applicable legal obligations. Notification details are kept while you want the requested updates. If you unsubscribe, a minimal record of that preference may be retained to avoid contacting you again.
Technical records are subject to the hosting provider’s retention settings. Contact us for information about a specific record or to request deletion.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and stop marketing messages at any time. Email admin@ofactolabs.co.uk with your request.
We may need to verify your identity before disclosing information. This website does not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
You can complain directly to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113. You can also contact us so we can try to resolve your concern.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the website or our information-handling practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
