A brief rise in humidity settles. A humid moment doesn’t mean mould is growing.
A short humid spell adds little to the accumulated growth estimate.
Combines conditions with gas patterns. This brief event settles without a mould-risk alert.
VEX uses VTT mould-growth modelling alongside gas-pattern analysis and leak-detection software. High humidity favours growth; it does not prove mould is present.
Generated hourly readings. The VTT calculation uses the Finnish mould growth model: sensitive material, initial index 0, decline factor 0.25. Room air is a proxy for surface conditions; materials may stay damp after the air dries. The VTT index is 0–6 and retains exposure history.
The VEX curve and events demonstrate a possible response, not measured performance or a detection deadline. Gas changes prompt investigation; they do not alone confirm mould. A lower reading does not certify that remediation is complete.

Predicting reported mould in homes using a refined VTT-based model.

Ask about our testing ↗We conduct laboratory testing for differentiation and prediction using Ofacto data. The published VTT-based figure measures balanced accuracy against residents’ mould reports. These results use different datasets and metrics.
