Give the next person a usable record

A useful handover answers four questions: what was reported, what was found, what was done and what happens next. Organise evidence around those questions so the client does not have to reconstruct the job from separate messages.

Separate completed work from remaining work

For each task, record its owner, completion evidence and any follow-up. If a cause is still under investigation, say so. Distinguish treatment from repairs to the source of moisture; a photograph of a newly painted wall is not the whole completion record.

Agree how follow-up works

Set a review point with the client. Clarify who reviews new reports, who can arrange a return visit and which changes require professional assessment. Monitoring provides another input; it should not automatically trigger a paid job or declare the property hazard-free.

Where VEX can help

We are developing VEX for room monitoring and Ofacto for the work record. Remediation companies can discuss using the device after treatment, with readings linked to evidence and planned follow-up. Partnership scope and availability are agreed with the team.
